What I would Tell 12 Year Old Me

I grew up with really low self-esteem as a result of bullying in school. I was constantly called ugly and stupid.  Over time I started to internalize what people were saying about me. I felt rejected, alone and unworthy of any good thing. Over the past year, I have started to heal from the pain. Today as I look back I have come to realize regardless of people’s opinions of me it does not change the fact that I am beautiful, intelligent, worth it, and capable. Ladies as I speak the truth to 12 year old me, I want to remind you as well. You’re beautiful, intelligent, worth it, capable and loved. Regardless of what anyone says. So embrace who you are.
